Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Friday after experiencing health issues for the past two days. According to medical professionals, he has been suffering from a stomach infection along with a fever. Due to a lack of improvement in his condition, specialists recommended hospitalization. The 51-year-old Mann was admitted on Friday, where a team of doctors is closely monitoring his health. Sources indicate that his condition is stable, but he will remain under observation until further medical advice is provided. Mann's office has not yet released any official statements regarding his discharge or future treatment plans.

Following the news of Mann's illness, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), visited the Chief Minister at his official residence on Thursday to inquire about his health. Kejriwal had arrived in Punjab on Wednesday evening to assess the flood situation and was scheduled to tour affected areas with Mann. However, due to Mann's health issues, Kejriwal proceeded to visit flood-affected regions in Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthala district, on Thursday.
Previous Health Concerns Health Issues Not New for Mann
This is not the first time Mann has faced health challenges. A year ago, he was diagnosed with a bacterial infection and spent several days hospitalized at Fortis Mohali. Previously, a cabinet meeting that Mann was supposed to chair was postponed due to his illness. This meeting was expected to discuss relief and rescue operations across the state, which is currently grappling with severe flooding. The death toll from the floods in Punjab has risen to 43 as of Thursday.
